We are all about COLOR in your garden, so plant clouds of instant sunshine! Coreopsis lanceolata (also called Lanceleaf Tickseed) is one of the showiest flowers we know; full yellow blooms from May until the fall. The blooms keep coming, and the deer don't ~ it's a deer resistant annual.
This herbaceous perennial has gorgeous yellow 2" Cosmos-type flowers that attract butterflies like crazy! Lanceleaf Coreopsis plants are EASY TO GROW plants, and can tolerate a bit of drought, heat, and less than perfect soil.
For continuous blooms, make sure to deadhead spent flower stalks. The lovelyCoreopsis lanceolata plant will freely self seed, and will naturalize to form large colonies. Divide every 2 to 3 years to maintain a robust plant, and you can cut back hard in the summer if the foliage looks unkempt.
