Herb Description
Also known as Saltmarsh Cordgrass or Smooth cordgrass. A perennial grass that does wonders for Salt marshes shorelines struggling with erosion. This grass does great in difficult environments. Spartina alterniflora can get as tall as 7 feet but the beauty of this grass is shown most in the wind. It has dark green foliage but hints of the silver underside can be seen in the sunshine.
