      Herb Description

We love our Bergamot Bee Balm so much we wanted to continue the collection of Monarda plants. People often get this plant confused with Lemon Balm. These are NOT the same plants. Lemon Balm is Melissa officinalis and is perennial with blooms of yellow.

Lemon Bee Balm is a monarda plant that blooms spike shaped clusters of lavender color. Also know as purple horsemint this plant makes perfect addition to a Pollinator Garden. The lemony Bee Balm leaves are great to add a little lemon zest salads and teas. Many may even use in potpourri!
