Anthemis tinctoria
Herb Growing Tips
Light: Full sun
Temperature: Perennial to Zones 3 to 7
Watering: Drought-tolerant but will do better with regular waterings. Making sure to allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
Soil: Not picky about soil quality. Does best in sandy/loamy soil. Needs well-drained and does not like heavy clay soils.
Comments: This is a drought tolerant plant but hot and humid zones above 7 will be difficult for this plant to grow in. This plant is easy to grow but insects will go for it. Aphids, slugs and snails can be kept at bay with proper watering.
It may have Chamomile in the name but it is NOT like Chamomile 'Roman' or Chamomile 'German' that we offer, this herb plant does not have medicinal value. This is Anthemis tinctoria also know as Golden Marguerite, Dyer's Chamomile or Oxeye Chamomile.
Known for an abundance of golden-yellow daisy like blooms. The plant fern-like foliage has a fragrance of chamomile. In mild climates will even act like an evergreen! This easy going plant would be great planted near with other cut flowers plants like Lavender Plants or Sage Plants!
